How the phrase finder works

Add one or more search words or phrases, paste your text, and the tool scans every sentence and highlights each exact match. It's a fast way to check whether your copy uses a particular keyword, to spot repeated terms, or to pull out the sentences that mention a specific name or topic.

It's especially useful for content creators checking keyword usage, researchers scanning long documents, and editors auditing a draft before publishing.

Frequently asked questions

Is the matching case-sensitive?

No. Matching is exact on the word but ignores capitalisation, so "London" and "london" are both found. Each matching sentence is shown with the search term highlighted.

Can I search for more than one phrase at once?

Yes. Add as many search words as you like — every one is matched against the text and counted separately, so you can compare how often each appears.

Is my text stored?

No. Text is sent to our server only to run the search and is not stored or logged. You can search up to 25,000 characters at a time.
